Came across an article mentioning a merger between Alaska & Hawaiian Airlines which noted, “the name Northwest Airlines has already been used”.
And that reminded me of my brief affinity for NWA in the late 90s/early 00s. Not because of the real airline (I think I flew on them once or twice), but because I was part of a virtual NWA (I think via VATSIM (https://vatsim.net)), flying MS Flight Simulator with other sim geeks all across the globe.
